“We don’t just make friends, we make family”
All three aspects of child development are nurtured at Theodor Herzl, and the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle are far reaching. Vigorous activity is essential to healthy growth; teamwork and discipline contribute to maturity of spirit; and shared victories – and defeats – build a rewarding sense of camaraderie and school spirit.
All our pupils are required to participate in at least one each of the summer and winter sports on offer. Theodor Herzl’s cricket, soccer, hockey, netball and tennis teams all fare well on the competitive schools’ circuits.
Extra, individual sports are cheered and supported too, and we are very proud of our pupils who achieve at provincial and national levels in fields like gymnastics, karate and synchronised swimming.
Sporting or cultural activities may not take place from sundown on Fridays to sundown on Saturdays, which is the Jewish Sabbath. Fun, family athletics days and other weekend activities happen on a Sunday instead.
