Becky Kilbride in Grade 6 has started a Knitting Club.About 15 children have joined many learning to knit for the first time.The children are knitting squares to make blankets for charity.

We are immensely proud of our Pinocchio cast who reaped a host of Showtime nominations! They are as follows:

The adults who received nominations are the director, Robin Williams, actors Len Sember and Peter Lynch and Yvonne Quicke for musical direction. Linda Rossouw and Madri Smith received nominations for the costumes, and Mari-Lu le Roux and Peta Edwards for the make-up.

A winning team indeed! Congratulations to all!

We ended the third term on a high note with the most wonderful Minute-to-win-it event, hosted by the CANDO Committee. The children loved the unusual activities and spent the best day ever! Thank you to Alison Tabiaat for her initiate, and to all the moms and teachers who assisted.

Thank you to all our families for the generous donations of fruit, vegetables and tinned food received for our Shavuot assembly. On the festival of Shavuot it is customary to give gifts of fruit and vegetables to less fortunate people. Mrs. Jenny Shoul from the Jewish Benevolent Fund and Mrs. Hilary Bolton of Khaya Cheshire, a home for disabled children, will be distributing these contributions. You can be sure that your gifts will warm many hearts (and tummies)!

There was great excitement in the Grade 2 class upon the arrival of their brand new desks and chairs. Thank you so much to the CANDO Committee for this generous donation.

The Pritt Ironkids is an aquathlon event and sees children between 6 – 9 years old swim 60m and run 1.2km, whilst children aged 10 – 13 years swim 100m and run 2km.
The children also received goodies, including a Pritt bag full of treats, a medal and certificate when they crossed the official Ironman finish line.
