Mrs. Smith always inspires delightful creative writing, and of course the children are so talented too!

THESE I HAVE LOVED
Sweet sparkle of a diamond; Illuminous colours glowing
within my reach; My gran scratching my back;
Swimming and dancing with friends; The feeling of
accomplishment; Bitterness of money, just waiting to be
spent;Family trees growing older by the day.
Touching the darkness around me whilst awake; fresh
warm challah; Glistening smell of soft perfume; Laughing
with grandparents; missing the one whose presence
is no more; The sound of a clock, tick tock tick
tock; Pressure in my hands waiting to be let free;
And a loving friend smiling back at me.

THESE I HAVE LOVED
Cupcakes just coming out of the oven; a butterfly
fluttering away; staring at the blue-greenish
sea for hours; crispy chips; playing on the
white beach sand; water gushing on the
rocks; fresh fruit that have just come into
season; people smiling at me; complete silence.
Diving down under the sea, entering another
land, full of beautiful and incredibly fascinating
things; Fresh air; the starts shining at night;
starting a new book; lavender; the wind
howling at night; Suede; freshly baked bread;
getting into my warm cozy bed and slowly
falling asleep as I hear my mom and
dad speak.

THESE I HAVE LOVED
These I have loved: The chocolate icing on the
delectable crust of a chocolate cake; An imaginary
boy whose humour goes on forever; the little shine
in my life when I see his face in my dreams;
The meaningful words of poetry; Art that gets imprinted
in your mind; People who I'd love to be friends with
but that will never happen; The beautiful pictures that
clouds give us; The delicate muffins in the oven breathing
them in as they rise; The bleak picture of my life I've gotten so used to;
The wonderful essence of stories held captive inside books;
fantastic colours washing down my blank page as I paint;
The beautiful things you may see in nature; the birds'
chirpy song and their wings fluttering by; the grass
under my bare feet; My mom, dad and brother even when
the atmosphere in the house turns sour!

 THESE I HAVE LOVED
Wobbling jelly; the last bell to say school
is finished; water dripping from a tap; a
whistle to start a soccer match;
watching slugs crawl around, leaving a
trail of slime; sticky cholcolate dripping;
walking on rocks and listening to the
waves;
screaming voices from horror movies;
balls bouncing in the air; African thunder,
roaring and rattling; music going through
my ears and Lizzie's brownies
baking; the crinkling of chip pakets;
sitting by a heater when I'm
cold and listening to popcorn, popping
on the stove.
